How can I access my email?
There are 5 supported methods for accessing your email:
- Outlook Web App (aka OWA or Webmail)
- Outlook for Mac
- Outlook for Windows
- Mail app on iPhones and iPads
- Email app on Android devices
You are welcome to use any email program you wish, but unless you are using one of the officially supported programs listed above we will be unable to assist you with problems you may encounter. However, here is some general information on the unsupported clients most asked about:
- Mac Mail: Many users have reported success using this program to access their email. You will need to create a new Exchange account for it; the documentation for setting up Outlook should be helpful.
- Outlook for mobile devices: Many users have reported that the Outlook app, available in the respective app stores for both iPhones/iPads and Android devices, works very well. Again, the Outlook setup documentation should be helpful in configuring it.
- Thunderbird: At this time, this client is unable to access our email server. (See technical explanation below.)
Again, if you choose to use one of these methods, you do so at your own risk: We will not be able to assist you with any issues you encounter while using any unsupported email client.
Technical Explanation:
Currently the only supported protocols for accessing our Exchange servers are Exchange Web Services (EWS) and ActiveSync. Any email client that supports these protocols should work fine.
We do not plan to make other protocols available; this means clients such as Thunderbird that do not understand EWS or ActiveSync cannot access your email.
