Press Release: District & ESSA Reach Negotiation Impasse | November 7, 2022

Subject: School District and Support Staff Union Reach Negotiation Impasse

The Education Support Staff Association (ESSA) and the District have spent many hours working together since February 2022 to create a successor agreement to the collective bargaining agreement that expired on June 30, 2022.  Today, November 7, 2022, both parties agreed that we have reached the point of impasse, and believe the assistance of a mediator will aid in reaching an agreement for the approximately 15 remaining articles.  

While we await the mediation process, ESSA and the District will continue under the provisions of the collective bargaining agreement that expired on June 30, 2022.
