GENERAL INFORMATION

The School Board Regular Meeting began on Tuesday, September 1 at 6:00pm via Teleconference.

The meeting recessed at 12:16 am and reconvened on Wednesday, September 2 at 7:00 pm. 

The meeting adjourned at 10:20 pm

PHASED-IN RETURN TO SCHOOL PLAN APPROVAL

Motion:  Move to provide in school learning supports for students identified by Student Support Services and Special Education according to the phase in plans developed by those departments. 

Motion Carries: 6-1

SECONDARY SCHOOLS IN REMOTE LEARNING FOR 1ST QUARTER APPROVAL

Motion:  Move to have Secondary Schools continue in remote learning status for the remainder of the 1st Quarter and to reevaluate no later than the October 6th regularly scheduled Board Meeting.  

Motion Carries: 5-2

APPROVE LETTER OF SUPPORT FOR THE CHILD NUTRITION RELIEF ACT OF 2020 (H.R. 7764) AND THE PANDEMIC CHILD HUNGER PREVENTION ACT (H.R. 7887)

Motion:  Move to approve the School Board’s letter of support for Child Nutrition Relief Act of 2020 (H.R. 7764) and the Pandemic Child Hunger Prevention Act (H.R. 7887) to the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Congressional Delegation.

Motion Carries:  7-0

SUSPEND POLICY 263: SCHOOL BOARD MEETINGS - TELECONFERENCE PARTICIPATION IN MEETINGS, DURING THE COVID PANDEMIC 

Public Testimony: Via Zoom: 0      Emails received and read: 0

Motion:  Move to suspend Policy 263: School Board meetings teleconference participation in meetings during the COVID pandemic to allow individual board members the option to safely participate in meetings either through remote or in person attendance as needed. 

Motion Carries: 7-0
