Effie Kokrine Cell Phone Policy
CELL PHONES AND OTHER ELECTRONIC DEVICES
Cell phones, iPods, ear buds and other technology is expected to be off and out of sight in each class students attend. This policy is referred to as “out of sight, out of mind”. Teachers may grant permission to use technology and ear buds at their discretion.
Inappropriate usage of a device will result in the following.
- 1st offense: The teacher will confiscate the device and return it at the end of class.
- 2nd offense: The teacher will confiscate the device and return it at the end of the day.
- 3rd and subsequent offenses: The device will be held at the front office until a parent or guardian can pick it up.
REFUSAL TO TURN OVER A DEVICE WILL RESULT IN AN INSUBORDINATION REFERRAL.
