From there she taught in downtown Los Angeles at a visual and performing arts magnet school and earned her master’s degree at University of California, Los Angeles, before moving to Alaska in 1997. In Alaska, she taught multi-age elementary and secondary courses in Venetie for a year. “Linda will bring a deep and wide set of skills as Interim Principal at North Pole Elementary,” said Karen Melin, Chief School Administrator. “Her experience as an elementary classroom teacher and as a building leader will serve her well in this new opportunity.”
Principal Linda shared, “It’s an honor to be appointed as Interim Principal of North Pole Elementary. I’m excited to see the vibrant young faces of students every day and to partner with families and the North Pole community next school year. I look forward to working with a phenomenal staff that cares deeply about the growth and success of their students. All my heart and energy will be invested in North Pole Elementary’s school concepts of kindness, community, and critical thinking. Go Huskies!"
