  • Hello district families,
    We are approaching the end of the school year and would like to take a moment to remind everyone that all student devices will need to be returned to schools.  Expect further communication from your school with detailed information, including dates and times.
    There are a few things to remember when bringing your device back to school:
    • Please clean your device before returning.
      • Devices can be cleaned with a disinfecting wipe, such as Clorox wipes, or any 70 percent isopropyl alcohol wipe.
      • For more information on device cleaning, read the FAQ’s located here.
    • Make sure to include the power cord.
    • Confirm the device is in good working order.
      • If there is an issue with the device, please note the issue when returning.
      • Examples of issues are:
        • Screen is cracked
        • Device won’t power on
        • Keyboard isn’t working properly
        • Power cord is missing
    Thank you for taking care of your device and returning it to your school so that we can get devices ready for the next school year!

  • The school calendar has been adjusted to account for the snow day April 5th. The changes are highlighted below.

  • Drop off/Pick up Procedures

    The snow in our driveway is still a mess so please unload and load your students with much care.  We are all in a hurry but the safety of our kids is worth the extra time.

    Just as a reminder here are the current Drop-Off/Pick-Up Rules:

    Students can only be dropped off in the loading zone or from a car parked in the lot.

    Please do not let students out of the vehicle till you are at the sidewalk or parking spot.

    In the loading zone, students must load from the sidewalk side of the vehicle.

    If you park in the lot please walk/meet your student at the crosswalk or front door.

    Dear Parents,

    Our school district administers testing for measuring student growth. It gives us helpful information for planning purposes and what your child may need.

    The time is here! 

    AIMSweb+ Testing Window- Nov 16-Dec 16

    AIMSweb FAST facts  

    What is it? AIMSweb is an assessment that measures students' grasps of fundamental reading and math concepts 

    Who takes it? Students in grades K-2 

    When do we give it? November 16- December 16 

    MAP FAST facts

    What is it? 

    Measures of Academic Progress measures students' academic growth in math, reading, language usage, and science 

    Who takes it? Students in grades 3-5

    When do we give it? November 16-December 16

    Your child’s teacher will reach out to you regarding specific information and the testing schedule. Please look for it soon. With the building closed, all testing will be done remotely.

    Mr. Kougl will be serving lunch hot packs starting Thursday, August 20,2020, from 9am to 1pm and continue on throughout the school year until further notice.  If you would like to receive a hot pack please go to the pickup area located in the back by the gym.  Unfortunately, he is unable to charge items to accounts that might need funds.  Please upload money to your child’s/children’s account located at https://www.schoolcafe.com/.  School Café can also be found as an app for your phone, or bring cash in hand for him to place on your account.  Please note free and reduced lunch is still being offered to those that receive that service.   To ensure the safety of our staff and community please remember to wear your mask and maintain a 6ft distance when picking up your hot pack.

  • Parents have the right to make educational decisions for their child, including whether to participate in statewide testing. Please check with your school principal for more information.

  • volunteer Parents, Guardians, and Ticasuk Friends are encouraged to fill out and

    complete the Volunteer Packet Website

     

    These packets are REQUIRED by the school district to help with after-school school programs, field trips, reading groups, traveling, etc. 

    It takes approximately 1-2 weeks for packets to go through the approval process. Please plan ahead and take care of the paperwork now :).

    Once filled out and approved, volunteers have two years before "reapplying". Please be aware this is an important and necessary step in our volunteer process.
