• Bright Futures Fairbanks Projects:

    • Adopt a School, Your valuable time, energy, and resources are welcome to donate food, clothing/winter gear, school supplies, etc. for children in need at the school of your choice or wherever the need is greatest. Once you sign up, you will be provided the principal's contact information who you can initiate the adopt a school discussion. Use the Bright Futures Fairbanks webpage, resources guide, and Facebook page to support your efforts. 

    • Parent Boot Camp, Bright Futures Fairbanks hosts Parent Boot Camps which include learning sessions, community resource fairs, lunch, and childcare at no cost to participants.  Use this handbook as a guide to host your own Parent Boot Camp. 

    • Partners in Education Awards, Superintendent Karen Gaborik and the Bright Futures Fairbanks leadership team present awards to outstanding Partners in Education in October. 

    • Service Learning, The No One Left Behind Awards is a collaborative student service learning project that recognizes outstanding first responders in dispatching, emergency medical services, firefighting, and law enforcement in November. Proceeds help provide homeless men, women, and children food, clothing, and a safe environment to sleep in at the Fairbanks Rescue Mission.

    • Trauma-Informed Culture Trainings, Are you interested in attending trauma-informed culture training sessions in the fall of 2018? A trauma-informed culture learns to understand the impact of trauma, becomes capable of recognizing trauma, and reaches the point of being trauma-informed to promote a culture of recovery. We are in the planning process for upcoming outreach events and training, so contact us to be kept informed.
