Randy Smith's Garden

  • RSGA In conjunction with Calypso Farm's Schoolyard Garden Initiative, Randy Smith started a garden in the summer of 2009. With fantastic support from the RSMS and Calypso staffs, sod was cut and cover crops were seeded. Since then a fence was built and our first season of growing has come and gone.

The garden provides a living classroom with hands on learning opportunities for math, science, art and other classes.

New in 2014-2015: Anne Wein has joined us in using the garden. Students from K-6 have made the trek over to visit our garden and learn about plants and growing food. I have heard very good things about our carrots from these students.

Here it is: the Randy Smith cookbooks with recipes from students. staff and parents. Money from sales go to support the school garden.
