School Board Committees
The School Board Committees, made up of staff and community member volunteers, help the School Board and administration tackle important issues. While the ultimate authority to make decisions resides with the school board, these committees conduct studies, identify problems, and develop recommendations. The advisory committees are an important part of the ongoing dialogue between the school district and community.
School Board Committees, under the direction of the Fairbanks North Star Borough Board of Education, are:
- Audit Committee
- Budget Committee
- Curriculum Committee
- Diversity Committee
- Legislative Committee
- Family Engagement Committee
- Policy Committee
