Degrees and Certifications:

Mrs. Veronica Harlin, Resource Teacher

My name is Veronica Harlin and I am proud to be at Anderson-Crawford Elementary School as a Resource Teacher.  I am from Corpus Christi, Texas, born and raised living the beach life.  I received my Bachelor’s Degree in Kinesiology, then decided I wanted to become a teacher.  So, I worked through an Alternative Certification Program in Texas.  I am certified to teach Special Education and Grades EC - 6th grade.  This will be my 16th year teaching Special Education.  And this will be my 1st year teaching in Alaska.

My husband visited Alaska one time before he decided we should move to Alaska. I thought, why not? Our kids are grown and it was just him and I .  So, I have a daughter, Paige, who is 26 and a son, Jared, who is 21.  Once they moved out, my husband and I ventured out to Alaska.  It took us five whole days to drive and get here to the North Pole.  I also have two dogs, Mija, who is a silver lab, and a rescue dog, half chow, half blue heeler, named Jake.

I have a true passion for working with students who have special needs.  It surprises me how these students grow every day they are in school - socially, emotionally, and academically. I look forward to being a part of the team that will help make these children succeed.

I look forward to a great school year and working together!
