Golden Heart Academy is located at the Fairbanks Youth Facility (FYF), the second-largest of Alaska’s juvenile correctional facilities. While institutionalized, students continue working towards earning a high school diploma.  Partnerships between the Fairbanks School District, the Community and the Technical College at UAF also provide a way for them to take classes in culinary arts, small engine repair, First Aid/CPR, and the Construction Academy.
