School Bus Accident
Refer to the updated Risk Management folder for detailed School Bus Accident Response Guidelines
- Administration/Transportation contacts Risk Management to report the incident
- When an incident occurs during normal school hours all uninjured students are transported to their schools and are assessed by the school nurse before being released to class
- Student injury/occurrence report via PowerSchool is only necessary for students who are assessed as having a complaint/injury as a result of the incident (school nurses DO NOT need to do a PowerSchool entry for all students assessed)
- All student assessments, regardless of condition, are documented in CareDox.
