  • Meet the PTA
    PTA President: Rachel Howe

Hello, my name is Rachel Howe and I am the PTA president. I am delighted to have this opportunity to be involved in such a great adventure. This is my third year on the PTA board. PTA is able to bring so much to the school. We have been able to bring in an Artist in Residence for the last 2 years and last year we purchased 30 Ukulele’s for the music program. Hope to see you at a PTA meeting this year!

I have lived in the Fairbanks/North Pole area for almost 19 years and was raised in Washington State. I love raising my 3 girls in such a great community, where it seems more like a family than a town. My youngest is going to be starting NPE this year, my middle daughter is in 4th grade and my oldest is in 8th grade and homeschooled. Amazing how time flies by, seems just like yesterday I was helping in my oldest daughter’s kindergarten class! I have been involved with my girls classrooms, the after school program, recycling program, and running club.

Please feel free to contact PTA or me directly if you have ANY questions. See you around the school!

PTA Vice President : Marie Huesties

    Hello NPE families!
    PTA Treasurer: Stacy Brandon

I’m Stacy Brandon and I am excited to be your NPE PTA treasurer for the 2014-2015 school year. I graduated from Purdue University, majoring in accounting and finance. My husband and I have lived in the Fairbanks area for 11 years, deciding to make North Pole our home now that he is retired from the army. My two children are in 4th and 7th grade this year and I have enjoyed volunteering in their classrooms and helping in other areas at the school for the last 6 years. I work as an accounting specialist at the Midnight Sun Council, the local Boy Scout office. I enjoy sewing, quilting and
scrapbooking when I am able to find spare time.
My name is Marie Huesties and I'm excited to serve as PTA Vice President. A little about me- I was born at Clark AFB in the Philippines and moved to Alaska 22 years ago. I've called North Pole my home for a majority of those years and feel incredibly lucky to raise my children in the same community I grew up in. I am a mother to 4 amazing boys, Kenneth, Joseph, Alexander, and Ryan. As a family we love fishing, swimming, and playing baseball. I am looking forward to having a great year with the PTA and meeting you all!
