Important After School Program Dates...

All After School Programs will resume Monday, March 19, following the district-wide Spring Break.

    Have a wonderful Spring Break!

  • What are the 21st Century Community Learning Center Grant Funded Programs?

    • The primary focus of the grant funded Community After School Programs is to provide extra academic support and academic enrichment for students who may be struggling with school.
    •  Each program within our school district is uniquely designed to address the individual needs of students. Programs focus on increasing academic success in the areas of reading, writing, math and science.
    •  Eligible students are also able to explore academic and recreational enrichment opportunities of their choice. Students help to select and design their explorations so they stay excited and interested in school.
    •  After School Programs provide a structured and supportive environment for students to explore their interests.

    Adventure in Confidence and Academics

    • The 21st CCLC Elementary Academy of Science and Technology is a four-week summer program developed to increase academic skills and confidence in Science, Reading, Writing and Math.

    • Summer learning is very important to help all students practice the academic skills they learned during the year and to gain new skills and knowledge, providing a great start to the next school year.

    • At E.A.S.T., we bring together the very best teachers to offer a summer learning adventure for students.  E.A.S.T. is equal parts summer camp, learning academy, and makerspace, developed with the intention of offering a creative, inspiring and engaging space for all learners to come together to create and explore!

    • This academy is open to current 21st CCLC students attending our Hunter and Denali After School Programs. * With generous support from our school district and the Department of Education, we offer extended space for additional students from other Title I schools.

    • Our summer learning focus is on S.T.E.A.M.; working on projects combining Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts and Math.  These are important subjects in school now, and are vital to building greater skills for secondary education and career pathways.  To be successful in our information-based and technological society, students need to develop their capabilities in STEAM to high levels.  These skills build critical thinking, collaboration, innovation and creativity; all key ingredients as students move along their educational pathways.
