FNSBSD embraces a personalized learning approach to instruction and student learning. Through the district’s adopted curricula, students are provided a guaranteed and viable curriculum that sets high expectations, provides supports for students’ learning needs, and flexible and adaptive options.

Adopted curriculum is based upon state and national standards, including the Alaska English/Language Arts and Mathematics Standards. These academic standards clearly outline what students should know and be able to do at each grade level. These standards build a foundation for college and career readiness.
