Board Policies

Federal regulations require districts to have a student wellness policy that addresses nutrition, physical activity, and food and beverages available in schools. Additionally, districts must assess their student wellness policies every three years through a Triennial Assessment. The District completed its last Triennial Assessment in the spring of 2024–2025.

In the 2025–2026 school year, the District will use the Triennial Assessment results and stakeholder feedback from the School Board’s Policy Committee to revise and adopt a new student wellness policy.

The District’s School Wellness policies currently include:

  • 1061.1 – Physical Activity

  • 1061.2 – Nutrition Education

  • 1061.3 – Food and Beverages Provided by School

  • 1061.4 – Other School-Based Activities

For transparency, the most recent Triennial Assessment [link to PDF] is available for review.

The most current Policy Committee agenda [link] is posted here to keep families and community members informed about opportunities to provide feedback as the updated student wellness policy is developed.
