Who to Contact

Your Role: As a School District employee, you are responsible for reducing risk and using public funds appropriately.

🛒 Three (3) ways to Purchase!              

• Shipping & Receiving Central Stores: Standard supplies & “Up4Grabs” Surplus  “Easy as 123”
• pCard (District Credit Card): for most small purchases (under $500). Your Admin. Secretary is your school’s pCard Custodian.
• Purchase Order (PO): Required for Services, Assets, Technology or Software; use to document competition, terms, and conditions.

The Purchasing Dept. can help get education discounts at your favorite stores!

• The best way to get help with technology is to call the help desk at extension 11397 or to open a ticket at workorder.k12northstar.org 
   
• When requesting technology assistance, it can make things quicker if you can provide asset tags, account numbers, and screenshots.
   
• If you have a Mac, you can enable Touch ID by opening System Settings, scrolling down, clicking Touch ID & Password, then Add Fingerprint. That will let you unlock your screen in a split second!
   
• To assist in taking screenshots on macOS, open the Applications folder, open the Utilities folder, then drag Screenshot to your dock. Then you can just click the camera icon to take screenshots of the whole screen, one program, or even take videos.
   
• Please run software updates when asked. It’s not about the latest and greatest features, but the security holes that are patched. Bug fixes are nice too.
