The Teacher Apprenticeship Program is a paid, hands-on learning experience designed to help aspiring educators gain classroom experience, receive professional mentorship, and work toward earning their teaching credentials—all while making a difference in local schools.

Position Details

  • Title: Teacher Apprentice

  • Location: Fairbanks North Star Borough School District in Fairbanks, Alaska

  • Start Date: To Be Announced (varies by position)

  • Hours: Includes on-the-job training and college coursework

  • Compensation: Paid apprenticeship with FNSBSD

    • Plus: Tuition and fee assistance available through the University of Alaska Fairbanks

Who Should Apply?

We're looking for individuals who:

  • Have a bachelor’s degree or at least 78 credit hours toward a degree in education

  • Are passionate about teaching and working with children

  • Are committed to completing a degree and teacher certification program

  • Have prior experience in school-based or child-centered settings

  • Can balance full-time work with college classes

  • Want to earn while they learn in a supportive school environment
