This is for students who ONLY need one or two classes to graduate and are hoping to graduate in our June 2026 ceremony.

Our June sessions runs from June 1st through June 19th. Graduation will be on Wednesday the 24th of June.

Application for Full-Time Enrollment

If you are interested in enrolling at CEC--The Career Education Center for the 2026-27 school year,  you must complete this application and a follow-up interview.  Students must be a Junior or Senior; have earned 9 or more high school credits; and be at least 16 years old.

CEC is a great fit for many struggling students, but not all. This application and interview process provide an opportunity for us to learn about you and for you to learn about CEC.  Students must demonstrate the commitment and maturity needed to take advantage of an individualized, self-paced path toward graduation.

This process is how we all make sure CEC is right for you.

Application for Full-Time Enrollment

Our School is all about second chances and offering students something different than what they experienced at a traditional high school.

CEC is designed to help students get back on track for graduation. We are a self-paced, independent program for students who have not found much success at other schools.  Students earn a diploma by meeting the same graduation requirements as all Fairbanks school district students, but they do it independently and at their own pace.

CEC students can attend school up to 4 hours each day, Monday through Friday, but they have the flexibility to schedule around other personal commitments.

Successful CEC students are motivated, independent, and capable learners, but they have struggled with balancing personal responsibilities outside of school with due dates and deadlines.  Many of our students struggle with reading challenges, skill deficits, and knowledge gaps.

CEC provides materials for a range of reading levels, as well as options for credit recovery, and students have the support of certified teachers when they need extra help.

Donate to CEC!

Donations will directly fund the CEC Program providing food and school supplies for students while at school.

These funds also help provide students in need with food, clothing, cold weather gear and supplies for daily life.
