While supplies last! (Ended 11/15/24)
We're excited to announce an upcoming "Up4Grabs" event, where YOU, and your Homeschool families, can claim surplus books and school supplies at no cost.
As a result of a school closure, our team has been working tirelessly to re-allocate our resources to other schools; while we have moved (literally, tons) of curriculum, furniture, and misc. school/office supplies to other District schools and facilities, we are committed to ensuring that every effort has been made to find new homes for the items that still hold value. Having saturated many of our schools with surplus materials, we are offering a unique opportunity to the public to claim some of the items that we do not have the capacity to store long-term. The items available include a vast array of (generally secondary) fiction and non-fiction LIBRARY BOOKS, and other (limited) Math, Science, Drafting, Arts & Crafts materials and supplies (things like microscopes, measuring scales, T-squares, compasses, protractors, colored copy paper, etc.).
- When: Oct. 12, 2024; 10am - 6pm.
- Day 1, Friday Oct. 11th will be reserved for FNSBSD Staff and BEST Homeschool families.
- Day 2, Saturday Oct. 12th will be open to the public.
- Where: This event will be held at the Nordale Education Center.
Of interest: We are collaborating with the Literacy Council; any remaining books will be made available to them.

Surplus:
The District makes every effort to re-utilize furniture, equipment, and supplies that may no longer be needed by one site, but which might be needed at another. School District Employees may access the internal Central Stores Catalog to see a list of available surplus items, under Up4Grabs.
Auction:
Items that have not been claimed by other Schools or Departments may be made available to the public via auction. If volume warrants it, a "Call-out" auction may be scheduled during the summer months, to be held at the Central Receiving warehouse.
The 2024 public auction was held on 9/07/24 at 11:00am.
