Girls Who Weld Summer Class

 

Girls Who Weld is geared towards female students as an exploratory course.  The course is designed with girls in mind.  The purpose is to expose girls to welding and related careers and to act as a survey course for future program enrollment. 

The class will focus on safety, Gas Metal Arc Welding, Shielded Metal Arc Welding, Torch and Plasma Cutting, projects, guest speakers, and field trips.  Shop safety is stressed in every activity undertaken.  The majority of the time is spent in the shop learning hands-on welding and cutting skills. 

Mr. Peter Daley will teach the summer 2026 class. Students must provide their own transportation.  

APPLICATIONS CLOSED

Space is limited. The class will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.  A waitlist will be established in case a student fails to appear or needs to withdraw from the class.
