CTE Data

To ensure eligibility for funding under the Carl D. Perkins Career and Technical Education (CTE) Act of 2018, commonly referred to as Perkins V, it is imperative to maintain a transparent and comprehensive approach to public reporting on the performance of CTE programs. Perkins V emphasizes accountability and continuous improvement in CTE programs, which requires institutions and educational agencies to provide detailed performance reports to the public.

These reports must include data on student performance in various key areas such as academic proficiency, technical skill attainment, graduation rates, postsecondary placement, and nontraditional program enrollment. By transparently sharing this information, educational institutions can demonstrate their commitment to achieving high standards and fostering continuous improvement. It also ensures that stakeholders, including parents, students, educators, and policymakers, are well-informed about the effectiveness and impact of CTE programs.

Adhering to the public reporting requirements of Perkins V is essential for securing funding and demonstrating the value of CTE programs. By providing transparent and detailed performance data, educational institutions can foster an environment of accountability, continuous improvement, and community engagement. This approach not only aligns with the goals of Perkins V but also enhances the overall quality and effectiveness of career and technical education.
