Welcome to Crawford Elementary! 

2020-2021 will be my first year as Principal of Crawford, although I have spent many years working with military families here in Fairbanks and overseas.

As a Navy spouse (my husband Ed retired and now teaches at North Pole Middle School) and Navy parent to our son, Kreg, I have experienced many facets of military life and have a strong appreciation for all that entails. I began my teaching career on AFSOUTH in Bagnoli, Italy, at the Anglo-Italian Montessori School and shortly after moving to Fairbanks in 1997 began teaching at Crawford's current feeder school, Anderson Elementary. During my time at Anderson I was fortunate to have excellent leadership and many opportunities to grow as a leader myself. I am a Nationally Board Certified teacher, hold a Master Teacher Certificate, hold a BS in Liberal Arts, and an MS Ed in Educational Technology Leadership (that may come in handy this year). Although this is my first year as a principal, I have had the opportunity to work as an Assistant Principal in schools serving students Pre-K through 12 for the last five years.
