Alaska Laborers Training School Local 942
Overview of Program: We train and recertify Construction Craft Laborers statewide in the four disciplines associated with our trade; Building, Highway, Specialty and Utility Construction. The Laborers Apprenticeship Program gives 4000 hours of on-the-job training coupled with a minimum of 144 hours of training here at the school (both classroom and hands-on). This program normally takes between 2.5 to 4 years to complete, depending upon the diligence of the apprentice.
Qualifications for Program: Must be 18 or older; have a high school diploma or a GED; have lived in Alaska for the last 12 consecutive months, and possess a valid Alaska Driver's license.
Application Deadlines: Applications are accepted year-round.
Cost: There is no fee for entrance into the Apprenticeship Program.

Wage Outlook: $30.00 plus benefits. Basic wage for journeymen.
