DIPLOMAS is a Department of Defense Education Activity (DoDEA) grant that stands for Developing Innovative Personalized Learning Opportunities Maximizing the Achievement of Students.
What is DIPLOMAS?
The school district was awarded $1 million by DoDEA for the DIPLOMAS grant. DIPLOMAS supports the implementation of personalized learning and college and career readiness at military-connected schools. Student learning coaches provide academic support for students' personalized learning in the hours before and after a traditional school day. Student devices will be purchased to support personalized learning by bringing each of the target schools to a level allowing for 1:1 access.
The goal is to increase student attendance rates and demonstrate math and language arts readiness for college and careers after high school.
