DON'T MISS THE LOTTERY DRAW APRIL 17, 2023 FOR THE 2023-2024 SCHOOL YEAR

• Enrollment is open to incoming kindergarten-8th grade students for the 2023-2024 school year.
  • Kindergarten students must be 5 years old on September 1st, 2023 in order to be eligible for kindergarten enrollment.
    
    
• A parent/guardian from each household MUST attend one Enrollment Orientation Meeting in order to be eligible for the admission lottery. These orientation meetings will further explain Discovery Peak’s learning structure and philosophy, review the expectations of both students and parents, and go over basic logistics of our school. Our goal through these orientation meetings is for parents/guardians to feel comfortable, confident, and well-informed about Discovery Peak prior to enrolling their child.
  • If a student is not currently enrolled but has once attended Discovery Peak, you need to attend an orientation to apply for the following school year.

• Orientation dates will be at 6:00 pm on March 10th, March 22nd, and April 6th, 2023 at Discovery Peak Charter School. 
• After attending an orientation meeting, your child(ren) will be eligible to enroll in the admission lottery.
  
  
• The online application for the lottery will open on February 13, 2023 and will close on April 13, 2022 at 3pm. Applications are completed online through the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District’s Online Lottery Application Portal via the Student Information Systems Centralized Application Portal (CAP).  General information about the FNSBSD online lottery process can be found at https://www.k12northstar.org/lottery. 
   
• The lottery will be drawn on April 17, 2023. Parents will be notified of their child’s lottery placement via email within 48 hours of the lottery drawing.
  
  
• Parents of students who gain admission through the lottery draw will be required to confirm their commitment to enroll no later than April 21, 2022. 
• Students may be added to the waitlist after the drawing. Apply to the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District’s Online Lottery Application Portal via the Student Information Systems Centralized Application Portal (CAP)
