Introduction to Process Technology

    Fairbanks Pipeline Training Center Complex, 3600 Cartwright Road, Bldg B.

    Students MUST provide their own transportation.

    Tuesday & Thursday

    3:30-5:00 pm

     

    Course Description:

    The Process Technology course will provide a career exploration opportunity for students in high-skill, high-wage, and high-demand process technology occupations within Alaska, and around the world.  Topics may include but are not limited to:

    • Operations Technicians in the process industry
    • Oil and Gas Production
    • Mining and Milling
    • Transportation and Refining
    • Utilities
    • Wastewater treatment
    • Facilities Maintenance

     

    Course Credit: 

    Students who complete this course may earn 3 (three) college credits through the University of Alaska Community and Technical College.  Motivated students may be allowed to take two of the Introduction to the Trades courses. The final selection of student participants will be made by the course instructor in conjunction with counselors and CTE Director.
