Volunteer Information
-
Volunteers help foster strong school/community relationships by creating shared ownership in the success of our schools, as well as demonstrating the importance of community service to our students. The school district’s volunteer process is governed by:
- Policy and AR 1152: Community Participation in District Programs – Volunteers in the Schools
- Policy 1071: Student Volunteers for School and Public Service
Track A Volunteers must fill out a Volunteer Application and return it to Karen Motschenbacher. This is a fillable form, but you must download the form - not just open it in your browser.
If you aren't sure if you are a Track A Volunteer, please go to the Bright Futures Fairbanks website for a description of Track A and Track B Volunteers.
Volunteers should also be aware of the following handbooks:
Students as Volunteers
-
FNSBSD students may be used to assist with instructional or non-instructional operations of the district provided there is proper supervision by the principal. The school district expects that all students are under assigned adult supervision. FNSBSD students do not need to complete the volunteer application.
