2017 Partners In Education Awards

    • Outstanding Non-Profit Partner – Explore Fairbanks for providing volunteer time in support of the College and Career Fair and for volunteer leadership on the Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee

    • Outstanding Youth Services Partner – UAF Cooperative Extension Services 4-H for supporting STEM based learning curriculum for after school programs and for volunteer leadership on the Bright Futures Fairbanks Leadership Team

    • Outstanding Corporate Partner – Northrim Bank for supporting the Parent Teacher Association, family nights, Halloween Carnival, school-wide Thanksgiving Feast, and Panther Pantry at Denali Elementary 

    • Outstanding Small Business Partner – Advance Printing for providing job shadow opportunities for students interested in graphic design careers and volunteer leadership on the Hutchinson High School Business Advisory Committee

    • Outstanding Faith-Based Partner – North Pole Worship Center for hosting the World's Biggest Backpack Giveaway which provides free school supplies and more for K-12 students in August; for providing clothing, winter gear, school supplies, and other much needed items to students and staff year-round; for volunteer leadership on the Bright Futures Fairbanks Leadership Team

    • Outstanding Partner in a Districtwide Program – Dr. David Flory and Dr. Mark Wade with The Surgery Center of Fairbanks for providing athletic training services and sports physicals for students at no cost and for offering job shadow opportunities for students interested in sports medicine careers 

    • Outstanding Career & Technical Education Partner – Fairbanks Pipeline Training Center for offering apprenticeship programs for students to enter high skill, high wage, high demand building trades 

    • Outstanding New Partner – Leslie's Children for providing food for students to take home with them over the weekend at Anne Wien Elementary 

    • Outstanding Partnership Network - King's Cupboard: St. Jude's Episcopal Church, St. Nicholas Catholic Church, Lord of Life Lutheran Church, New Hope Methodist Church, North Pole Assembly of God, and North Pole VFW for providing food for students to take home with them over the weekend at North Pole Elementary, Middle, and High School

    • Outstanding Governmental or Military Partner – State of Alaska Division of Vocational Rehabilitation for providing school to work transition training for Project SEARCH students with intellectual and developmental disabilities and for referring guest speakers from the business communality, which has resulted in temporary and permanent employment 

    • Outstanding Youth Group Partner – Model United Nations Club at West Valley High School for providing affordable family-friendly activities where students at other schools and the community are welcome 

    2016 Partners In Education Awards

    • Outstanding Military Partner – 25th Brigade Support Battalion for supporting food pantry projects at Anne Wien Elementary School and summer learning programs

    • Outstanding Non-Profit Partner – Fairbanks Memorial Hospital & Denali Center for providing the Bone Builders Backpack program to Hunter Elementary School and in our summer learning programs

    • Outstanding Youth Services Partner – Fairbanks Native Association for the Johnson O’Malley program and many other activities that support Alaska Native students

    • Outstanding Corporate Partner – GCI for sponsorship of Interior Spelling Bee, support of school supply and snack pack drive for Ryan Middle School, teacher externships, and media support of special events

    • Outstanding Small Business Partner – Cold Spot For Healthy Pets for partnership with Ticasuk Brown Elementary School and support of the district’s efforts to expand school Pantry Projects across the district

    • Outstanding Faith-Based Partner – Fairbanks First Assembly of God for support of students at Denali Elementary School and the Panther Pantry

    • Outstanding Partner in a Districtwide Program – Kinross Fort Knox for support of Alaska Native Education program and Native Youth Olympics

    • Outstanding Partner in a Districtwide Event or Activity – ABR, Inc. for continuous support of the district Science Fair

    • Outstanding Career & Technical Education Partner – Alaska Construction Academies for financial support to offer and expand construction academies in Fairbanks

    • Outstanding New Partner – Mountain View Eye Center for an innovative program to provide advanced eye screenings to all kindergartners across the district

    • Outstanding Elementary School Partnership – Odom Corporation and University Park Elementary School for creative partnership activities sustained over many years to support students and staff at the school

    • Outstanding Secondary School Partnership – Beaver Sports and West Valley High School for ongoing partnership in diverse activities to support students on the ski team and other athletic programs
