Offered spring semester 2021, the Welding Academy course will provide a career exploration opportunity for students into high skill, high wage, and high demand occupations. Topics will include but are not limited to:
- Pipe Welding
- Pipe Cutting
Successful completion of this course can be a pathway into union apprenticeships.
This will be Pass/Fail outside credit course which will not be included in GPA calculations. There is a limit of twelve students per course. Motivated students may be allowed to take two of the Introduction to the Trades courses. The final selection of student participants will be made by the instructors of each Local in conjunction with counselors and CTE Director.
