Introduction to the Electrical Trades
Classes start in January 2020 and run for two days a week until May 2020
Fairbanks Pipeline Training Center Complex, 3580 Cartwright Road.
Students MUST provide their own transportation.

Wednesday & Thursday / 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
Offered spring semester 2020, the Introduction to the Electrical Trades course will provide a career exploration opportunity for students into high skill, high wage, and high demand Electrical Trade occupations. Topics may include but are not limited to:
- Residential Wiring
- Installation of Luminaries
- Receptacle Switches
- Electrical Service
Successful completion of this course can be a pathway into union apprenticeships.
This will be Pass/Fail outside credit course which will not be included in GPA calculations. There is a limit of twelve students per course. Motivated students may be allowed to take two of the Introduction to the Trades courses. The final selection of student participants will be made by the instructors of each Local in conjunction with counselors and CTE Director.
