Legislative Committee

  • The purpose of the Legislative Committee is to develop the district’s legislative priorities and promotes the district’s interests in Juneau.

    The Legislative Committee supports the School Board's mission to “Provide an excellent, equitable education in a safe, supportive environment so all students will succeed and contribute to a diverse and changing society. With the lion’s share of the district’s annual budget coming from the State, the Legislative Committee promotes the district’s interests in Juneau. Committee members lobby legislators and may travel to Juneau during the legislative session.
