UAF / CTC Tech Prep Agreement

  • The Tech Prep Program is a partnership between the UAF Community and Technical College and the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District. The program recognizes the high quality of courses that are offered in the high school and provides students the opportunity to receive university credit for specific high school classes at a reduced cost.

    The FNSBSD, in coordination with the University of Alaska Fairbanks Community and Technical College, review the Tech Prep Agreement on an annual basis.

    FERPA Release Form:

    A FERPA Release Form must be submitted with each Tech Prep Form.

    Secondary Student Parent / Guardian Agreement:

    A Parent / Guardian Agreement must be submitted for each student.  This is a one-time only form that must be submitted for any student enrolling in UAF for the first time.

UAA Tech Prep

  • The Tech Prep Program also partners with the University of Alaska Anchorage.  The program recognizes the high quality of courses that are offered in the high school and provides students the opportunity to receive university credit for specific high school classes at a reduced cost.

    The FNSBSD, in coordination with the University of Alaska Anchorage, review the Tech Prep Agreement on an annual basis.

    Students applying for CTE credit at UAA will need to fill out the CTE Credit Request Form (Classes taken in High School) which can be found under Non-Traditional Credit.
