Carl D. Perkins

  • The purpose of Carl Perkins is to upgrade and develop new Career and Technical Education programs that will provide students the opportunity to develop the academic and technical skills that will be necessary to succeed in a knowledge and skills-based economy. Carl Perkins funds support career and technical education programs that meet state and federal guidelines developed to prepare students both for post-secondary education and the careers of their choice.

    Please follow the instructions below to access the district's CTE program student progress:

    1. Go to the EED CTE website at
    2. Under the Perkins V heading at the bottom right of the page, click on “Carl Perkins V CTE Public Reports,” then choose the school year and district name in the dropdown menu.
    3. Click on “Get Report”, and our district’s CTE data will appear momentarily.

Career and Technical Education Advisory Committee

  • The Fairbanks North Star Borough School District’s CTE Advisory Committee (CTEAC) is open to the public and welcomes input from any persons with an interest or involvement in Career Education at any of our meetings. Committee membership is not required for participation; however, we encourage community members to apply for the various committee membership positions noted in the application. Committee members will act in an advisory capacity regarding CTE in the district. If you are interested in serving on this committee, please complete the application form and return it to CTE Technician, Julie Luddington.
