On Saturday, September 18, 2021, we will be transitioning our email and calendaring services from the current self-hosted Microsoft Exchange service to Google services. This transition will enable better teacher-student communications, as well as reduce the staff time needed to administer the server portion of the email and calendaring services.
All email and calendar events are expected to transition to the new service. As with all new services, there are aspects that will look and function differently. You can find more information below, including instructional walkthroughs.
The existing Microsoft Exchange email and calendaring will be made available for a limited time after the migration is completed. You can find it http://oldwebmail.k12northstar.org. After September 18, the old system will no longer receive new email or calendar invites. Access to the old system will be removed completely by 12/31/2021.
The IT department is pleased to be able to offer this streamlined email and calendar system and will continue to work towards expanding our Google suite offerings. Thank you for your patience as we make this shift. If you have any questions, please contact the IT Help Desk at x11397.
