Newly recruited to BEST, Kara brings her 16 years of teaching experience to BEST. Kara has taught Spanish and a few English classes at Lathrop High School. Kara is a Fairbanks gal. She graduated from West Valley High School and received both her bachelor's and master's degrees from UAF. Kara has three children, two of whom also graduated from West Valley High School. In her spare time, Kara enjoys doing CrossFit, lifting weights, traveling, and spending time with her family. Her family is deeply rooted in the local Suzuki music community. Both of her boys play violin and viola through the Suzuki program and now her daughter is a violin and piano student. Kara looks forward to meeting everyone and working with the amazing BEST Homeschool community!
