Reduction in Force Resources

  • Through a year of unprecedented obstacles and challenges, the District was required to adjust the budget and staffing levels due to declined student enrollment and other budgetary considerations.  Based on the recommended budget, school administrators were tasked with identifying staff cuts.  From the identified staff cuts, the Human Resources Department analyzed staffing based on vacancies, districtwide seniority, and qualifications to determine required layoffs and involuntary transfers in accordance with the FEA and ESSA negotiated agreements.  Such budgetary decisions are very difficult and we recognize the impact this has on you.
