NPHS is implementing a buzzer security system which will "go live" Monday, August 26th. The system is very similar to ones many schools in the lower 48 use and is identical to the ones at Joy Elementary and Tanana Middle School in our own school district.
Here's how it works:
• The NPHS buzzer entry security camera system is mounted outside on the brick wall, left of the flagpole main entryway doors.
• The system will be active during school days.
• During school hours, all exterior doors to the school building are locked.
---Staff may enter using their FOB key
---Everyone else will need to use the buzzer security system
• During the active times, people wishing to enter the school building will need to press the white buzzer button left of the main entryway doors.
---Front office secretaries will then see and talk with the person at the doors.
---ID and a reason-for-wanting-to-enter will be required for non-recognized persons
This system provides another layer of school security. Please let us know if you have any questions or comments.
