Announcements

  • Barnette started remote delivery to students on Monday March 30, 2020.

Classes will be run through a variety of means including virtual classes and meetings, telephone, and packets of assignments and activities.

    • Kindergarten through fifth grade classes should be meeting virtually between 8:30 and 10:45.

    • Sixth through eighth grades should be having their meetings between 1:00 to 3:00.

    • Teachers will also be hosting office hours when they will be available by phone or a virtual meeting space to answer questions and they will be sending out those times and how to connect if they have not already.

The school will be minimally staffed Monday through Friday from 7:45 to 3:15 if you need to pick up a packet or materials from a teacher or personal items left at school.  Please call the office on TUESDAY or THURSDAY at 456-6072 to make arrangements and then call again from the parking lot.  We will meet you at the front doors with the item.

    • Starting next week we will begin to collect student belongings out of lockers and classrooms, bag them up, and contact families informing them that they are available.

    • Staff will also be contacting families that indicated that they need a Chromebook with appointment times and directions on how they will be issued.

Our main concern is the safety of students, families, and staff.  We will be doing everything we can to limit contact and maximize distance between people while providing tools and opportunities to continue student learning.  We appreciate your understanding and patience—these are unprecedented and rapidly changing times.

It’s Friday of the first week of school closure. I can honestly say I’ve never experienced a week quite like this one, and I can only imagine that all of you are having a similar end-of-week exhale moment.
