    April is National Poetry Month

    We will be reading "Won- Ton: A Cat Tale Told in Haiku" by Wardlaw

    Students will be learning about Haiku - a form of poetry created in the 9th century in Japan.

     

    APRIL 22ND IS EARTH DAY!!

    We will be reading "We Are Water Protectors" by Lindstrom & learning ways we can help protect our earth!

     

    THE WELLER TALENT SHOW WILL BE FRIDAY, APRIL 28TH!

    DUE TO LIMITED SEATING ONLY FAMILIES OF PERFORMERS CAN ATTEND.

    If you are interested in the Battle of the Books for summer reading, please click the link on the left side of the page for book lists.

    Students that read 3 battle books this summer & bring me a list signed by a parent will earn 3 library lunches with a friend. 

     

    PLEASE CHECK YOUR HOUSE FOR ANY LIBRARY BOOKS THAT NEED TO BE RETURNED. 

     

    FREE BOOKS ARE ALWAYS AVAILABLE IN THE WHALE TALE BOOK ROOM!!!

     The mission of the Weller Elementary School Library is to create a welcoming environment which provides students, staff, and parents with the resources needed to assist students in their education.
