Weller Kindergarteners will begin classes on August 17th, the same day that all other students will begin.The schedule for August 17th & 18th will be revised from the normal schedule:Morning Group 8:30-11:00Afternoon Group 12:30-3:00On August 21st the Kindergarteners will start their normal schedule:Morning Group 8:30-1:00Afternoon Group 10:30-3:00

You may bring necessary documents to the school if you are unable to upload them.
Help speed up enrollment by bringing along these important forms: (**students will not be enrolled in school without these forms)
**Birth Certificate A birth certificate is required for students entering kindergarten or first grade who haven't been enrolled in the district before.
**Proof of Immunization
**Proof of Current Physical Address Utility bills such as phone, water or electric-proof of one of these services at the home resident is required
Reminder: Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1st to enroll in Kindergarten.
OAA REQUESTS: If you do not live in the Weller attendance area and wish to have your child attend Weller Elementary you will need to enroll in your home school and fill out an OAA request at that school that will be submitted to Weller. Out of Attendance Area requests will not be considered until after the first 10 days of school. Students must be enrolled in their home school for the first 10 days of school. Families will be contacted on day 11th day, if there is an opening in the requested grade level.
It is MANDATORY that students arrive at school each day prepared for cold weather.

Jacket or Sweatshirt, Hat if “breezy”, Boots if “slushy”
BELOW FREEZING (0 TO 32 Degrees):
Warm Coat mandatory, Gloves/Mittens mandatory,
Head/Ear covering mandatory, Boots mandatory
Snow pants for Grades K through 3rd mandatory
Snow pants not required for Grades 4th through 6th
BELOW 0 Degrees:
All of the above. Snow pants mandatory for ALL GRADES.
Face Coverings are recommended

Drop off & pick up is curbside only.
If you would rather not wait in the drop off or pick up line,
please park and walk your students across the cross walk.
The HB57 Operating Budget conference committee has been appointed. If you value public education in the Fairbanks North Star Borough School District, please reach out to committee members and local legislators now to request maintaining status quo education funding.
This June, bring your children to Ryan Middle School for a free, delicious and nutritious lunch. The Fairbanks North Star Borough School District is participating in the USDA Summer Food Service Program. Meals will be provided to all children 18 years and younger without charge.
