Joy's Green Star is sponsoring a book fair at Barnes and Noble on Saturday, Nov. 18th from 10 a.m. - 4 p.m. Please consider writing this date on your calendar, so you won't forget. Any items (including foods) purchased that day will allow our Green Star Committee to earn a percentage of those proceeds. Either mention your purchase is for Joy Elementary or use our coupon code #12100053. If you are not able to make the Saturday event? No problem… any items purchased during Nov. 18-23rd will help our efforts, just use this code at the store or online.

ALL ENROLLMENT IS DONE ON LINE. YOU ARE WELCOME TO COME TO THE SCHOOL TO USE OUR COMPUTER FOR THE ENROLLMENT PROCESS.
Enrollment checklist-Help speed up enrollment by bringing along these important forms: (**students will not be enrolled in school without these forms)
- **Birth Certificate
A birth certificate is required for all new students who haven't been enrolled in the district before.
- **Proof of Immunization--SHOT RECORDS
- **Proof of Current Physical Address
Utility bills such as phone, water or electric-proof of one of these services at the home resident is required
Reminder: Students must be 5 years old on or before September 1st to enroll in Kindergarten
OAA REQUESTS: If you do not live in the Joy attendance area and wish to have your child attend Joy you will need to enroll in your home school and fill out an OAA request at that school that will be submitted to Joy. Out of Attendance Area requests will not be considered until after the first 10 days of school. Students must be enrolled in their home school for the first 10 days of school. Families will be contacted on day 11, if there is an opening in the requested grade level.
- **Birth Certificate
Winter will be arriving soon and school bus routes in the hills are especially vulnerable to developing poor road conditions. Some school bus routes have designated “alternate stops” that may be used if road conditions are too hazardous for buses to use the regular stops.
