  • “Take what you need. Leave what you can.”

We’re supporting the Fairbanks Little Free Pantries for our 3rd quarter service project!

Fairbanks Little Free Pantries is a special project developed and maintained by Michelle Kougl, a former Crawford Student! With the help and support of her family and friends, she's produced two "Little Free Pantries" in the Fairbanks area. The "Little Free Pantries" are small outdoor structures that are filled with donations from the community. These donations can include healthy snacks, basic non-perishable food items, and even personal care products. These pantries sit outside local businesses and are available to the public 24/7, allowing those in need to help themselves and those with donations to drop off items at their convenience.

This project has also sparked a chain reaction with others creating and maintaining their own locations; corner of Lathrop and 23rd with Corinthian Baptist Church and 4020 16th Ave with Open Door Baptist Church.

To help support the Little Free Pantries, we will be doing a donation drive to collect non-perishable food and personal care items from February 14th through March 6th. Watch for details and a list of suggested items coming home in Monday packets and on our school Facebook page soon!

  • When is sick too sick for school?

Students should not be sent back to school after an illness. They may return when they have been fever free (<100F) for 24 hours without having taken anything that contains a fever reducer (Tylenol, Advil or their generics), including some cough and cold medicines.
