Title I Professional Development provides continuing education opportunities grounded in evidence-based best practices for staff assigned to FNSBSD Title I schools. All professional development is directly connected to increasing student achievement outcomes.
Professional development opportunities vary due to the unique needs identified at each school site. Overall there are four settings that are used to deliver professional development: PLCs (or other small groups), schoolwide, across all Title I schools, and individually focused training.
Additionally, Title I schools may allocate funds for teachers, instructional coaches and school leaders to attend professional learning conferences with a focus on learning that will lead to improving student achievement outcomes for all students. Examples include the Teaching and Learning Instructional Coaching Conference and the National ESEA Conference.
