- Provides direct supervision of elementary schools;
- Responds to inquiries and requests of parents, students, staff, and the public;
- Supervises the discipline and suspension policies in the elementary schools;
- Oversees the implementation of curriculum instruction programs, activities, organizations, operations and staff relations;
- Supervises the Curriculum, Federal Programs, Grants and Special Projects, and Library Media department heads;
- Helps the superintendent perform the day-to-day operations of the district
- Hears appeals from parents about elementary school decisions; facilitates resolutions.
