    Available after school at the Fairbanks Pipeline Training Center for Juniors and Seniors!  There are three courses to choose from, classes run January to May 2016.

    1. Introduction to the Electrical Trades taught by the IBEW Local 1547
    2. Introduction to Residential Plumbing taught by the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 375
    3. Welding Academy taught by the Plumbers and Pipefitters Local 375

    Seniors!  The School to Apprenticeship applications are now available for students interested in applying to the Ironworkers, Plumbers & Pipefitters, Carpenters or the Electrical Unions after high school.  More information can be found at http://www.k12northstar.org/domain/1089 or talk with your school counselor.  Applications must be turned in to your counselor by December 15th!!

    The Math Lab and Writing Center at UAF's Community and Technical College is offering FREE weekend and weekday afternoon tutoring assistance for high school students at the campus at 604 Barnette Street.

  • Students Awarded to All-State

    Students from the Fairbanks North Star Borough submitted audition recording to the Alaska School Activity Association All-­State Music Festival selection committee in September. Of the hundreds of recordings a select number of top students were chosen from around our state to participate in the All-­State Music Festival.

    Results of the Alaska Measures of Progress (AMP) were released Nov. 9. District and school reports are now available at www.k12northstar.org/amp. Individual student scores will be available in PowerSchool Nov. 10.
