In January 2007 the Board adopted Phase 1 implementation of the FNSBSD Technology Blueprint. The Blueprint is the district’s foundation for accomplishing improved technology infrastructure and enhanced student learning. The following beliefs are at the core of the Blueprint:

• Students at all grade levels need equitable and appropriate access to classroom technologies that promote project-based learning, thematic curriculum, and exploratory lessons.
• Teachers hold the key to successfully integrating technology into curriculum and instruction and need to be supported in their efforts to use technology for teaching and engaging students.
• District administrators must use the most effective and efficient means to support the operations of the school district.
• Technology is expensive and the district infrastructure must become and remain adequate to support both instructional and operational technologies.
