Research & Accountability
The Research & Accountability office:
- Provides overall coordination of Research & Accountability and the district-wide testing program;
- Conducts research and evaluation studies of district programs;
- Performs surveys for schools, administrative departments and school board;
- Coordinates and chairs school boundary committee,as necessary;
- Prepares state and federal compliance reports which involve student information;
- Prepares annual reports on the condition of education within the district;
- Coordinates the state/district-wide testing program including Standards Based Assessments(SBAs), the Alaska High School Graduation Qualifying Examination (HSGQE), norm-referenced testing and alternative assessments;
- Prepares reports on districtwide student performance;
- Prepares state mandated school and district report cards to the public;
- Processes applications for waivers and modifications for the Alaska High School Graduation Qualifying Examination;
- Grants evaluation.
