School library circulation procedures and practices must provide maximum access to the collection for all patrons. It is the responsibility of the school’s library staff to insure that circulation procedures for the library are approved through the building principal. The guidelines provided must be followed. At minimum, the circulation procedures should be printed in the library section of the building’s staff and student handbooks. It is recommended that every library publish a brochure and maintain a library webpage on the school’s website to include this information.
