Mathematics Curriculum Revision 2013
The FNSBSD Mathematics Leadership Team has recommended the newly adopted Alaska Mathematics Standards as the K-8 district mathematics curriculum.
Input from FNSBSD eduators and the public is a critical factor in the process of curriculum adoption. The K-8 Alaska Mathematic Standards attachment is below, which were adopted by the State of Alaska in June of 2012. The Leadership Team welcomes your comments and recommendations. A response form and cover letter is found below as well. Comments are due no later than Friday, September 6, 2013. Please deliver, fax or email your responses to:

Textbook alignments for Miller & Levine, Biology, 2010, and Tarbuck & Lutgens, Earth Science, 2009 can be found by clicking the link below. It will take you to the Science curriculum webpage, and the documents are posted at the bottom of the page. Supplemental options for Biology and Earth and Space Science are also included, as well as supplemental options to Alaska Earth Science curriculum for grades 7/8.

Alaska Performance Scholarship
The Alaska Performance Scholarship (APS) program is now in place. High School graduates from the class of 2011 that meet eligibility requirements will have opportunities to continue their education in Alaska through the APS program. This new scholarship program is an exciting opportunity for our students. Please note that the requirements for meeting the APS change over the next three years. These requirements become more rigorous and detailed, therefore it is best to check the website www.aps.alaska.gov for new updates. This website has been designed to help students prepare and increase their opportunities for this new scholarship program.
